Terms

Ride responsibly.

These terms cover the Cycled service and its private beta. They do not replace your judgment, safe riding practices, equipment instructions, or professional medical advice.

Private beta

Cycled is under active development. Features, stored data formats, and service availability may change. Do not rely on a beta build as your only ride record, navigation source, safety system, or emergency service.

1. Accepting these terms

By using the Cycled iPhone app, Apple Watch app, rider web, public share pages, or related cloud service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

You must be legally able to accept these terms where you live. Cycled is not directed to children under 13. If local law requires parental consent at an older age, you may use Cycled only with that consent.

2. Accounts and local riding

Core ride recording can work without a Cycled account. An account is required for cloud sync, account recovery, community participation, connected server services, and any account-linked purchase. Keep access to your Apple and Cycled sign-in methods secure and provide accurate information when a feature requires it.

You are responsible for exports or other backups you need. Cycled may limit, suspend, or close an account to protect riders, investigate abuse, comply with law, or preserve service security.

3. Cycling and health safety

Cycled is a fitness tool, not a medical device or emergency service. Training suggestions, recovery context, power targets, calorie estimates, route information, and other metrics are informational and may be incomplete or wrong. Consult a qualified professional for medical questions and stop exercising if you feel unwell.

Obey traffic laws, trail rules, event requirements, and weather warnings. Mount and use devices safely; do not interact with a screen when it would distract you. Live sharing does not summon help, guarantee coverage, or guarantee that a viewer is watching.

4. Trainers, sensors, routes, and third-party data

Confirm trainer compatibility, calibration, resistance limits, bike setup, and firmware with the equipment manufacturer. Be ready to stop pedaling or disconnect power if trainer control behaves unexpectedly.

GPS, elevation, surfaces, cues, segment boundaries, nearby-route results, and weather observations can be inaccurate, delayed, outdated, or incomplete. A nearby weather-station observation is not an exact measurement at the bicycle and does not prove that weather caused a performance change. Inspect a route and conditions before riding it. Third-party services and devices—including Apple Health, Strava, and the U.S. National Weather Service—are controlled by their own terms and may change or become unavailable.

To the extent permitted by law, third-party service providers disclaim all express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and are not liable for consequential, special, punitive, or indirect damages arising from their services. Nothing here limits a right or liability that applicable law does not allow Cycled or a provider to exclude.

5. Your content and community conduct

You keep ownership of content you create. You give Cycled a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to store, process, display, and transmit that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the features and audiences you select. This license ends when the content is deleted, subject to operational backups, legal duties, and copies another person already lawfully received.

Do not post or organize content that is unlawful, threatening, harassing, discriminatory, sexually exploitative, deceptive, invasive of privacy, unsafe, spam, or an infringement of another person’s rights. Do not scrape the service, evade access controls, interfere with equipment or accounts, impersonate another person, or use Cycled to track someone without permission.

Cycled may filter, limit, preserve, review, or remove reported content and may restrict abusive accounts. Use in-app report and block controls for community concerns. Club organizers are responsible for their events, route choices, communications, and waiver language; Cycled is not the event organizer.

6. Public and live sharing

You choose when to publish or share. Anyone who receives an unlisted link may copy or forward what it shows. A map privacy zone reduces exposure but cannot guarantee that a home, workplace, identity, or routine cannot be inferred.

An active live safety link exposes exact current location, including inside a normal privacy zone, for up to four hours unless you stop it sooner. Share only with people you trust.

7. Club Pro and purchases

Club Pro is not offered unless Cycled displays a real StoreKit product, price, billing period, included benefits, and required legal links before purchase. If enabled, subscriptions automatically renew through Apple unless cancelled in Apple subscription settings at least as required by Apple. Apple handles payment and refunds under its policies.

Deleting a Cycled account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel separately in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Cycled will not remove core functionality you already have merely to place it behind a new subscription.

8. License and ownership

Cycled and its software, visual design, and service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use Cycled for its intended purpose. You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer, or redistribute the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

The iOS app license is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These terms govern Cycled’s service, accounts, community, and sharing features.

9. Availability and responsibility

Cycled is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. The service may be interrupted and data may be delayed or lost, especially during beta testing, poor network coverage, device shutdown, sensor failure, or third-party outages.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cycled is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for injury, route conditions, equipment failure, third-party services, or decisions made from app data. Nothing here limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

10. Ending use and changes

You may stop using Cycled at any time, erase local data, export data, or delete an account from Account › Your data. Account deletion does not remove data already sent to Apple Health or Strava and does not cancel a store subscription.

Cycled may update these terms as the beta and service mature. Material changes will be dated here and, when appropriate, explained before they take effect. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised terms.

11. Contact

Cycled is currently a private TestFlight beta. Open TestFlight, choose Cycled, then choose Send Beta Feedback for support, safety, moderation, or legal questions. A direct support address and operator details will be published before public App Store release.
